NGK Powerdex AFX - Troubleshooting Guide added to our FAQs section

August 18, 2008

Ballenger Motorsports has helped our customers individually with common problems relating to the NGK Powerdex AFX for some time now. We have finally decided to put up our simple troubleshooting & diagnostic guide that solves the problem in approximately 95% of the cases we have run into.

NGK Powerdex AFX Troubleshooting & Diagnostic Guide

We also plan to add a step by step set of images and explanation about how to remove the terminals from the the large gray connector that goes to the NTK or Bosch Sensor itself. We have found a few customers who, rather than remove the terminals and run the wiring through the firewall then repopulate the connector with the terminals, instead choose to CUT the wires to the connector. This is not a good solution and we have seen numerous faults as a result. REMOVING the terminals and putting them back when done routing the wiring is MUCH easier than cutting the teflon wires. Look for that addition within a few days.

Ballenger Motorsports Expansion and Cooperation with LSxTune.com

August 12, 2008

Ballenger Motorsports has been growing as quickly as we can keep pace. We have been hiring new employees, adding warehouse capacity, upgrading our systems and are adding product on a daily basis.

Ballenger Motorsports is also joining forces with LSxTune.com. We plan to bring you a high quality yet inexpensive option in the world of LSx specific cables, harnesses, terminals/connectors, electronics, and other tuning related items. Look for updates in the immediate future to include a line of NEW LSx SPECIFIC PRODUCTS and more, in the products section of LSxTune.com and Ballenger Motorsports.

To be specific, our cooperation with LSxTune.com means that we will now be offering engine and transmission tuning services for GM applications. Our core customers here are GM performance vehicles such as Corvettes and F-Bodies but we tune all types of GM vehicles such as Allison transmission tuning in Duramax applications!

This cooperation with LSxTune.com also means that we will be expanding heavily in our connectors, connector kits, pigtails and extension harnesses for GM applications. We plan to offer full wiring harnesses for select applications in the near future. Ballenger Motorsports and LSxTune coming together will provide a one-stop location for your GM tuning and wiring needs. If you don’t see it on our website simply ask us! We may have what you need in stock but haven’t yet listed it on our web page. Look for a new post here shortly with another summary of new products we have added recently.
